Hello Hikers!
Well, we survived another unpleasantly hot weekend. The forecast says it will start cooling somewhat on Tuesday but will still be fairly warm throughout the week. It has to cool off eventually, right?
Next Saturday, head out to Daley Ranch for an Early Birds, Bugs, N’ Botany hike. Join Naturalist Lee Dezan on a medium-paced, 3.5 mile hike, lasting 3-3.5 hours. Three pond sites will be visited and the Ranch House renovation will be discussed. Bring water as none is available on the preserve. Treaded footwear is recommended, along with a wide-brimmed hat. Binoculars are always handy as we usually see many birds. OK for leashed dogs. Rain never cancels.
